Shadowbox

Spawn and strengthen mobs to try and defeat an ever empowering white circle who just wont stop shooting!

Shadowbox is my entry for the 2023 GMTK Game Jam. The jam's theme was Roles Reversed, one of my first thoughts was to do something with the ever growing popularity of "Reverse Bullet Hell" games. This is my take on a "Reversal" of that genre, a "Reverse Reverse Bullet Hell" if you will.

Instead of taking control of an overpowered character, your job is to summon an army of trash mobs to try and defeat one! Any time the circle levels up you can select a random upgrade from 3 choices. The circle regens health overtime so try and take him out quick, if he reaches level 25 its game over for you! 

In any case I hope you enjoy, if you are playing the V1 version it lacks sounds but I hope you can enjoy it still!

Controls are Left Mouse Click to click buttons and spawn cubes. Pretty simple!
